The purpose of the code is to describe our business ethics standards. It applies to all our employees and others working with or for the group.

We conduct our business in a fair and ethical manner, promoting healthy competition and protecting the interests of our customers and other stakeholders.
We do not offer or accept monetary benefits or gifts to achieve business advantages which we would not otherwise be entitled to. If we receive such offerings, we question why they are made and if anything is expected in return. We ensure that all offerings of any significance are disclosed and approved by our respective manager.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards bribery, which is the acceptance, offering, solicitation or promise of benefits, monetary or in kind, in order to gain business advantages to which we would otherwise not be entitled. Bribery is illegal worldwide and we are committed to comply with relevant laws prohibiting bribery.

When participating in an external activity, we will ensure that any opinions we express are in harmony with the company’s interests.
People who undertake work for JW MARINE do so cooperatively in a spirit of trust built on honest communication, professional conduct, fairness in business dealings and in full compliance with all laws and regulations.
JW MARINE employees ensure that workplace health and safety standards and practices are given priority and extend to all who undertake work for JW MARINE. JW MARINE managers support the honest efforts of all staff to improve themselves and make provision for training and professional development to ensure staff are appropriately equipped for the jobs they are required to do on behalf of customers.
JW MARINE employees will neither attempt to use their standing as employees of JW MARINE to derive a private business advantage for themselves, any associate or family member nor engage in any other activity which constitutes a conflict of interest between their private and professional roles.
JW Marine LLC was set up in 2015 to provide Agency Clearance Services to the Shipping & Logistics industry. We are operational in all UAE Ports with our Head office based in Fujairah – UAE.

All JW Marine staff members have the responsibility to read, understand and comply with above policy. Any employee who will breach this policy will incur in a disciplinary action.
Bribery: This term means a financial or other specific reward for action which is illegal, unethical, a breach of trust or improper in any way. Bribes usually can take the form of money, gifts, loans, fees, hospitality, services, discounts, the award of a contract or any other advantage or benefit that includes offering, promising, giving, accepting or seeking a bribe.
Corruption: This term means the misuse of power used for personal or private advance, of the person who corrupts or a Third Party they are associated with. Bribery is one of the tipical form of corruption.
Conflict of Interest: This term means a situation in which a person or organization is involved in multiple interests, and serving one interest could involve working against the other.
Facilitation Payments: A form of Bribery in which small payments are made with the purpose of expediting or facilitating the performance of a Public Official, a routine governmental action or to obtain or retain business or any other undue advantage.
Gifts: This term means everything of value (money, services, loans or other benefits) that is not a business hospitality given to somebody without payment for it.
Intermediaries: The intermediaries are individuals, organizations or companies that carry out activities of introducing or developing new business by retaining existing business, obtaining licenses or permits for new business or any other regulatory necessary documents.
Kickback: This term means an amount of money that is paid to someone illegally in exchange for secret help for a business advantage.
Public Official: This term is typically used for a natural or legal person who is employed, appointed or elected to perform a public function.
Third Party: Is a joint venture/consortium partner, agent, advisor, contractor, politicians and political parties, supplier and vendor, intermediary, service providers and other third party, performing similar tasks or functions that come in contact with JW Marine during the course of our work.
Unless otherwise agreed between the parties in writing, the Company’s remuneration shall be payable by the principal in cash, electronic transfer or cheque acceptable to the Company without deduction or set-off within thirty (30) days from date of invoice. If any amounts owing by the Principal is unpaid on due date, then all other amounts owing by the Principal to the Company whether due and payable or not, shall become due and payable forthwith and the Company shall be entitled but not obliged (and without prejudice to any of its other rights against the Principal) by notice in writing to the Principal to rescind or suspend performance of any of its obligations under this agreement; and discounts granted by the Company shall be forfeited. Interest on overdue amounts shall be charged to the Principal at 3% or the maximum permissible by UAE Law, and such interest shall be payable by the Principal on demand.
